Best food yet in Germany
Food was delicious, although my schnitzel was very fatty. Service great, only the door open all the time ... You can stop there all in all, the two stars went through the frying fat and the door.
We were four people and had four different dishes. Everything was tasty and plentiful and came very quickly, although in the open kitchen you could see the schnitzel being freshly breaded. The service (a very nice and funny gentleman) was always friendly and available for a few words. Great value for money and we definitely recommend it ?
We came by spontaneously looking for a restaurant and received a super friendly welcome. Despite the stress, our waitress took the time for a fun and informative conversation. In addition, the beer was fresh and cold and the food was very tasty. Price-performance ratio is also great. Would come back anytime. Greetings from the Ruhr area
Very nice staff. Good German cuisine. Very tasty and good portions. Prices were ok too
Mega delicious and really cheap, was pleasantly surprised ?❤️
Food was good. The service was friendly, attentive and experienced. Point deduction: 1. Salad was stale in the evening, still from noon. The second main course came while the starter was still being eaten. Doesn't work at all, e.g. with the soup
Great food for a good price. Nice service. Everything is fine ?
Receive a reservation at short notice within 20 minutes. Parking on site, very practical, otherwise side streets can be used. Great outdoors. The service is sooo nice. Everything was full but she was very courteous and polite, did not seem stressed during busy times. Really the best service !!! Our food was at the table within 4 minutes, I've never seen it so quickly and the quality was definitely top. You have to be here just for the food and the nice staff
Nice place for beer.
The food was good and the friendly staff responded to special requests without any problems. When we were there on Saturday evening a live band played, which I found very nice, only it should have been a little quieter for my taste, as you could hardly talk outside. Inside, however, that was no longer a problem. There were also some mix-ups / forgetfulnesses with the orders, which were immediately resolved. The food came to the table very quickly too. There was hardly any waiting time. Good food for a fair price.
Quaint and nice inn with friendly staff and delicious food. The decor is a bit old, but that is what makes this restaurant so charming, gastronomy is simply run here with a lot of heart :-) I would be happy to come back!
The hunter schnitzel with spaetzle tastes very good, but the schnitzel itself should be a bit bigger for my taste. The staff are friendly, but orders are sometimes mixed up. Live music on Saturday evening was a bit too loud, so that you couldn't talk easily. All in all, you can eat well there for fair prices
We stopped by twice. Service incredibly warm and friendly, that's how it should be! Price performance, top. Food tastes good.
Good family restaurant. Good food. Good atmosphere. Good parking area. Enjoyed it.
Very tasty food ?, friendly service and a good price-performance ratio. Since the restaurant is not directly in the center of Garmisch, I would speak of a small insider tip for holidaymakers here. We will definitely be back on this vacation.
Excellent, quick attentive service. The portions are absolutely great. Really very tasty, there is also nothing to complain about in terms of price. Are here for 1 week and would love to come back.
good beer and food! The waiters are polite and friendly Very cozy and nice atmosphere you can pay by card and with cash
Delicious home-style food and daily specials, e.g. Schnitzel with spaetzle, meat loaf and meatloaf with delicious fried potatoes, with a good one Strong beer Löwenbräu Triumphator, would like to come back next year
The first impression was not that special. The mask of the waitress was totally dirty. Full of stains. I wasn't enthusiastic about the food either. I had a Bavarian sausage salad. Hardly any sausage, but a lot of cheese and the dressing only tasted like Maggi. That probably doesn't belong in a sausage salad. Was absolutely disappointed. The advice to the operator was simply ignored.
I just can't rate the Bräuwastl better! I ordered a hunter's schnitzel, which didn't look bad at first glance, but here the classic trick was used, that the burnt or too dark side was put down on the plate. I asked the waitress that the schnitzel in my eyes was burned and too dry. As an answer, however, I only got what was wrong with it and it was freshly made in the pan. I was left sitting without further reaction. I certainly didn't go to a restaurant to eat fries with a much too thin ready hunter sauce. When the plates were cleared, she said that she was not calculating the schnitzel. In the meantime I had hope to get another piece of meat, but this didn't happen. To top it off, I didn't get the whole dish canceled, after all I had delicious french fries with the sauce described and for 5 euros. I would certainly have found a solution or ordered something else, but how a complaint was dealt with is the very last! I also do not accept that it was stressful because the temporary worker was sent home during our main course. Goes 700m further and pays a few euros more. Then you will certainly get a good schnitzel and above all, good service! Seems to have happened before.
Cozy place, pleasant staff and good food.
Great Bavarian food, great prices, wonderfully cute Haus Frau waitress. Large but cozy tables. Very convenient to Edelweiss lodge, just a 6 or 8 minute walk
Great food and service with a smile. Our family of 5 ate for under 60 euro. Highly recommend for delicious German food.
Food, drinks, and service were great! We had 7 people, with drinks, and the total bill was 113€...outstanding!
Good friendly service good food
Great food great service
Authentic and delicious German food and environment. Customer service was great.
Excellent food, nice staff.
The best potato salad in Bavaria!
Great salad, fun friendly place to go with the whole family. Great service and generous portions. Easy walk from Edelweiss
Food and service were really good. We had schnitzel and the fish. Very happy with both. Will definitely return!
Good view
We just went for dinner, the staff was great and spoke pretty good English. The wait was short for a German restaurant. The food was very good and reasonably priced, but the menu for children was a bit limited and they don't use mozzarella on the kid's pizza so it tastes a bit different from regular pizza. We paid less than 50€ for two adult and one child meal with drinks and two desserts. We sat outside, the view was ok and it was a bit close to the road but that's a small thing for the quality of the food.
Good food and good price.
Snitzel just okay. Not terrible, but not the best we've had. Nice outdoor patio!
We recommend. It was tasty with a great view.
Food was absolutely to die for and the view was phenomenal
Good food for a really good price.
Great beds, and great food, especially the Cordon bleu
Traditional Bayrische food and drink served very quickly although the waitress was alone for the whole restaurant and rushed around like a whirlwind. It's possible to eat outside under a roof at traditional German Beer Fest tables and benches. Inside is a very traditional Bayern restaurant with alcove seating which I love. The food was excellent especially the spätzle which came in a gravy that was delicious.
Great place with great service...our server was super. Extremely friendly and helpful.
My family and I came in for lunch in late February, and the meal was fantastic. The mushroom gravy is fabulous, the schnitzel nice and tender, and service was hospitable. So we came back for dinner too! I’m on my way back to Garmisch this next week, and I think I’ll have two or three dinners there.
Feels like eating at home.
Nice Palace
I do not usually rate a full 5 stars, but this place is excellent. The menu is in both German and English. They have a decent selection of beers (mostly Spaten on tap, but also Franziskaner and other in bottles). There are around 6-7 different dishes per menu section (i.e. appetizers, soups, salads, main course, sides, and deserts). My dinner was infused with crack and was excellent! The potato salad with my salad was awesome. The red apple cabbage was phenomenal. They were out of knödel, but replaced with great potatoes. Desert was excellent. Prices are good with the average main course costing €11.50. The location has outside seating with large bench seats. Inside is more traditional seating with small tables and both chair and bench seating. They have free wifi. Since it is not right in town, it's not excessively busy. There is no bar, so the clientele is mostly families and small groups. Seating inside is quiet. Outside seating is on the main road through town, so it can be a bit noisier. They accept both Euro and credit cards. Overall, aside from some homely items and decorations, this is one spot you will want to visit. Easy walking distance from the Artillery kaserne and the Edelweiss Hotel.
Good place for a quick beer and snacks
Wonderful
Good Food and not too expensive.
Great food, atmosphere and service. I had the Pork Schnitzel Wiener Art with Jaeger Sauce and Pomme Frtitz. It was delicious. I had no room for dessert but others with me had the apfel strudel with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. There were 8 people in our group and everyone raved about how much they enjoyed the food served.
